Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach – An Arts Umbrella Project, is a free music program offered in Vancouver’s inner-city.  More than 250 students, grades 3 through 12, receive group and individual instruction led by professional musician instructors, in guitar, piano, percussion and choir. Public performances are an integral part of the program and allow students to develop skills, foster pride and reach out to the community.

The school is dedicated to helping young people find their voice. It’s a nurturing environment that encourages students to achieve, to explore their creative potential and to develop a sense of community that will inspire them to succeed in life.
